Samaná: Whales and Los Haitises

Wild nature

The activity

Every winter, humpback whales travel thousands of kilometres to calve in Samaná Bay. Watching one breach a few metres from the boat is like nothing else.

On the same day we enter Los Haitises National Park: mangroves, caves with Taíno rock art, and waterfalls that appear on no map.

Highlights

  • Humpback whale watching (in season)
  • Los Haitises National Park: mangroves and caves
  • Hidden waterfalls deep in the forest
  • Taíno rock art in the caves

Whale watching is seasonal. Ask us for the dates before booking.
